Alex had always been a bit of an outsider, even before the city became desolate. He was never quite comfortable around other people, preferring to keep to himself and avoid attention. When the city was overrun by monsters and other dangerous creatures, Alex's natural tendency to keep to himself became even more pronounced. He found himself alone in a world where everyone else seemed to be either dead or mutated, and he was terrified.
